JATIMTIMES, PASURUAN – The Mayor of Pasuruan, Setiyono asked the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in order to extend the period of his cooperation with the government of Pasuruan. Therefore, the USAID program that focuses on issues of sanitation and clean water are thought to help the residents of Pasuruan.

“I ask to be extended and I ask that developed into another village,” he said, Wednesday (05/25/2016).

During this time, the USAID program through the Initiatives for Water and Sanitation Improvement through Networking Support (IWINS) has built 15 water and sanitation facilities.

The construction is expected to provide benefits to the 5,415 residents of Pasuruan.

“It is very helpful to Pasuruan for clean water needs with communal IPAL,” he said.

Described by the mayor, that the residents of Pasuruan still defecate in any place is still quite high. Which is about 30 percent.
